1.Scope & Supported Trade Terms
BulkInsects specializes in global B2B export of insect protein raw materials. We support major Incoterms 2020 based on buyer requirements:
- FOB Xiamen (Free On Board)
- CIF (Cost, Insurance and Freight)
- CFR (Cost and Freight)
- DDP (Delivered Duty Paid, available for specific countries and regions upon negotiation)
Risk and ownership transfer rules follow the corresponding Incoterms standards.
2. Sample Order Shipping
Sample orders are available for quality verification and formula testing before bulk purchase.
- Dispatch Time: 3–5 business days after sample request confirmation
- Carriers: Shipped via global express couriers (DHL, FedEx, UPS or equivalent)
- Sample Policy: Samples are provided free of charge. Express shipping freight is normally borne by the recipient, and can be fully deducted from your first formal bulk order.
- Tracking: A tracking number will be sent to your email once the sample is dispatched.
3. Bulk Order Production & Delivery
3.1 Production Lead Time
Standard bulk orders (MOQ 500 kg+) require 10–15 business days for production, microwave drying, quality inspection and export packaging after deposit confirmation.
Customized specifications may extend the lead time appropriately, which will be confirmed in the formal PI.
3.2 Packaging Options
- Standard export carton: 10 kg / 15 kg per carton, with food-grade inner plastic liner
- Bulk jumbo bag: 500 kg per bag, suitable for full container load orders
- Customized packaging is available upon request
3.3 Freight & Transit Time
- Bulk shipments are mainly transported by sea, supporting Full Container Load (FCL) and Less than Container Load (LCL). Air freight is available for urgent small orders.
- Ocean freight transit time: 15–35 days, depending on the destination port.
- Specific shipping schedule and freight cost will be confirmed in the formal quotation.
4. Customs & Duties
- We provide complete export documentation to support customs clearance at the destination port.
- Import duties, taxes and local customs clearance fees at the destination country shall be borne by the buyer, unless otherwise agreed under DDP terms.
- We will assist in providing supplementary documents required by customs to the best of our ability.
5. Export Documentation
To ensure smooth customs clearance, every commercial shipment is accompanied by a full set of export documents:
- Commercial Invoice & Packing List
- Bill of Lading (B/L) / Air Waybill
- Certificate of Analysis (COA)
- Phytosanitary Certificate / Veterinary Health Certificate (according to the import requirements of the destination country)
6. Delivery Issues
- If the goods are delayed due to shipping company schedule adjustment, customs inspection or other reasons beyond our control, we will assist in tracking and coordinating, but shall not be liable for the delay.
- If the goods are damaged during transportation due to logistics reasons, please provide valid photo proof within 3 days after signing for receipt, and we will assist in filing a claim with the insurance company or carrier.
